And Party Every Day

Just getting around to a SXSW music wrap up, or more accurately a "freeloader going around to day parties during SXSW" wrap up. For locals, there seems less and less incentive to participate in the official festival when there are literally dozens of free shows going on all day all over town.

I have some photos up at Flickr, with highlights of the few days of music including Ted Leo & The Pharmacists (twice), Jose Gonzalez, Art Brut, the Go! Team, Dengue Fever, Calla, Spoon, The Fiery Furnaces, The Crystal Skulls, The Essex Green, Rogue Wave, and of course catching brief samples of many other bands who I never identified. Yes, the lines and invitations and rsvp's can get a little annoying, but when I remember I'm not paying for any of it, it's hard to complain.
